Ideas and sneak peaks of design work for Feb '10

These are just a few design ideas that lead up to my final spring collection.

bonjour paris!

On the footbridge leading to Musee D'orsay.. Both sides are lined by different sized locks, with lovers names or little slogans written across the locks such as 'locked in love'

Paris was bitterly cold, and the night we chose to go to the Eiffel tower there was low fog. Which let the light flood beautifully around the structure.

London -spur of the moment style

Untill 24 hours before the new year, I did not have a clue where i'd be spending the first few moments of 2010.. untill a friend with a car decided a road trip was in order! So I finished my shift at work got changed and then jumped into his car with 2 other friends and it was off to London we went!
This was the most immense firework display I've ever seen, shortly followed by snow :) = a beautifully spontaneous road trip!

Christmas cards

My first attempt of carving the lino to print over old christmas carol pages, but I accidentally carved the words the right way, which would mean they'd print the wrong way round.
drying the lino for my christmas cards

NYC baby

Brookyln Bridge
a view from the empire state, as the sun set

New York is one of the most inspiring places I've ever been to, It was Nov 09 and although most days were cold .. one beautiful day in central park.. the sun streamed through the buildings, and lit up the whole park.
